Your friendly neighborhood NameKiiian returns from the Hyperbolic Time chamber with another raw dosage of High-Octane Cosmic beat shit. His brand of "extraterrestrial funk" was introduced to the scene in 2021 with his debut album “OALA”.

Since building his reputation on earth, Tatzu returned to his home planet Namek. Tatzu immediately requested an audience with the NameKiiian patriarch, GURU (Saichoro “the Highest Elder”) hoping to unlock his true potential. His wish was permitted, and GURU liberated his potential.

He discovered a forgotten spiritual SOUND that sat dormant for centuries with his NameKiiian Ancestors known as “NAMEKiiiAN FONKK!”

Beat music is one of the most beautiful iterations and sub genres of music in my savagely biased opinion. However, I wholeheartedly believe it's also one of the most misunderstood. The "beat scene" movement that originated in LA was strong in foundation and inspiration, yet even more potent in its innovation.

It was a jazz movement. It was a rebellion...it was Punk! All the founding brothers and sisters of this artform took pride in bringing their own unique approach and style. They all shared the same spirit and ethos, yet no one sounded like each other. There was never one distinct method or sound...In fact, It never even had a name. It was more a feeling or concept, than it was a "genre."

These fundamental concepts of freedom, openness, exploration, experimentation, and boundary pushing that were so vital to the genesis of beat music...has unfortunately been overshadowed with imitation and being content, in my humble opinion.

My hope with GURU is to inspire and remind my fellow artist to dream up their own blueprints and evolve our beautiful beat scene to the next plateau. Please don't settle for what has already been done. DIG!

In my opinion, Art should be risky and dangerous. The ones before us, did what they did so that we can take it further.
